Who We Are
Own It: Calorie Tracker is developed and operated by Own It GH, based in Accra, Ghana. We built this app to help Ghanaians track their nutrition using local food data.

Data We Collect
Account Information
Full name and email address collected when you create an account. Used to identify you and provide access to your data.
Health & Body Data
Current weight, goal weight, height, age, gender, activity level and health goals. Used to calculate your personalised calorie target.
Food & Nutrition Logs
Foods you log, meal times, calorie and macro data. Used to track your daily nutrition and show progress.
Exercise & Activity Data
Exercise logs, step count and calories burned. Collected via device sensors with your permission.
Water & Habit Logs
Daily water intake and habit completion records. Used to help you build healthy daily routines.
Usage Data
App usage patterns and feature interactions. Used to improve the app experience.
Payment Information NEVER STORED
Payment processing is handled entirely by Paystack. We do not store your card or mobile money details. Only your subscription status and transaction reference are saved.
How We Use Your Data

Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase — a secure, encrypted cloud database. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
Your data is stored on servers located in secure data centres. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.
Third-Party Services
Supabase
Database and authentication provider. Stores your account and health data securely.
Paystack
Payment processor for subscriptions. Handles all payment data. We never see or store your payment details.
Your Rights
✅ Access — request a copy of your data
✅ Correction — update incorrect information in your profile
✅ Deletion — request complete deletion of your account and data
✅ Export — request your data in a readable format
✅ Opt-out — turn off notifications at any time in Settings

Children's Privacy
Own It is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
